Licorice, or Glycyrrhiza glabra, is native to Europe and Asia. It was first used by the ancient Egyptians as a cure-all tea. In Chinese traditional medicine, licorice is used for many reasons due to its healing properties. Its root is used to soothe gastrointestinal problems, speed the repair of stomach lining, treat respiratory problems, and even give the adrenal gland some much-deserved rest from producing cortisol and adrenaline.
Ingredients: modified foodstarch, sugar, molasses, glucose-fructose syrup, licorice (5%), salmiak salt, natural flavors, glazing agent (beeswax white).
