Description
Venco Schoolkrijt or chalks are licorice sticks, mimicking the appearance of regular school chalk, with a unique sweet and crisp minty shell, and a slightly spicy salmiac flavor within. The licorice root that this treat is crafted from originates from the Glycyrrhiza glabra plant, which is native to Europe and Asia, and was prized by the ancient Egyptians. Licorice root has many benefits and is often used to soothe gastrointestinal discomfort, combat food poisoning and stomach ulcers, and heal heartburn. Additionally, it can be used to help produce healthy mucus, as well as alleviate stress caused by the production of adrenaline and cortisol. Venco Schoolkrijt or chalks are made from sugar, molasses, wheat flour, glucose syrup, hydrogenated vegetable fat, liquorice extract, thickener (gum arabic), ammonium chloride, humectant (glycerol), stabiliser (sorbitol), gelatine, glucose-fructose syrup, colours (E150d, E171), salt, and flavouring. This product was made in the Netherlands, and comes in a 1kg package.
